Dear Parents and Caregivers

After a wonderful year filled with lots of hard work and learning, Community 3 would like to celebrate together by enjoying a picnic at the beach.  We will be travelling by bus to Snells Beach on Monday 12 December departing at 9:30am and returning to school (leaving Snells Beach) at 2pm.

There will be...

• Games on the grass

• A picnic lunch (students are to bring their own packed morning tea and lunch

• Swim in the sea

• Play before getting the bus back to school

In order for us to have the water safety recommendations of a ratio of 1:4 adults per child in the water we will be asking for plenty of parent helpers to come along and support us on the day, including getting into the water to create a safe swimming zone for the children.

Students will need to bring:

• Morning tea and lunch (including a water bottle)

• Swimming togs, towel and goggles (beach shoes optional)

• Sun hats

• Sunscreen

• Own clothes can be worn (no uniform)
  
  There are risks associated with involvement in any school EOTC events and these risks cannot be completely eliminated. However, the school has identified any foreseeable risks or hazards and implemented correct management procedures to eliminate or minimise those hazards. The children will be strictly supervised and will have a good understanding of boundaries and rules before we leave school.
