HBC Cricket - Game Match Report

On Thursday, three cricket teams headed to Victor Eaves Park in Orewa to play Hibiscus Coast Cricket. Once we got there it was hot and sunny. We set up the gazebo and were determined to get right into it!

After awhile, a talk was done by the competition organiser. Five minutes later we were darting to our pitches examining them while waiting for the opposition. Time was flying by as we were having so much fun.

When we finally, but unfortunately, finished the pool games, we were puffing yet ready to hear if we had made it. As we waited for the semi-finalists to be announced, us girls were nervous because our team had lost one of our matches by ONE run!

She had announced the teams......WE ALL GOT IN!!

Time ticked by and the semis were heating up, the score was tight and the pressure was on!

After the games, this is what happened

Boys A got in!

Boys B got in!

Girls got in!!

We all got in to the finals!!!

And for the finals, well, all I'm going to say is.....

Boys A are champions!

Boys B are champions!

and us girls......

Well we are CHAMPIONS too!!!!

We are all champions, but to the other teams good job, and it was a tough competition.
