Dear Parents/ Whānau and Caregivers
We have been developing our understanding and knowledge of Warkworth Community and
its historical significance. We will be visiting the Museum to explore Warkworth’s historical
artifacts and ask questions. We will be going to the Kauri Museum on Tuesday 7 March 2023.
The bus will be leaving school at 9:30am and returning at 1:30pm.
There will be...
● Walk through Kauri Park
● Scavenger hunt through the museum
● Exploring historical artifacts
● Conversations with Historians of Warkworth Community
In order for us to attend the Museum we need a safety ratio of 1:10 ratio of adults to children,
we will be requiring 5 parent helpers to attend.
Students will need to bring:
● Morning tea and lunch (including a water bottle)
● Sun hats
There are risks associated with involvement in any school EOTC events and these risks
cannot be completely eliminated. However, the school has identified any foreseeable risks or
hazards and implemented correct management procedures to eliminate or minimise those
hazards.
The children will be strictly supervised and will have a good understanding of
boundaries and rules before we leave school.
We are looking forward to a wonderful day enjoying the warmer weather and celebrating the
start of a great year.
