Dear Parents and Caregivers,

On Monday, 27 February, Year 3 will be going to Kowhai Park to engage in learning activities based on our topic, ‘What was Warkworth like before people came?’

They will be travelling by bus leaving school at various times depending on which guardian group they are in (see below).

301 - leaving school at 9 am and returning at 10.30 am

302 - leaving school at 10.25 am and returning at 12 pm

303 - leaving school at 12.25 am and returning at 2 pm

They will need to wear school uniform and bring

● A large drink

● Sunhat

● Shoes - covered in

● Sunscreen

If your child has a smaller bag (separate from their school bag) that they can pack to carry their drink bottle to the park, that would be appreciated.

There are risks associated with involvement in any school EOTC events and these risks cannot be completely eliminated. However, the school has identified any foreseeable risks or hazards and implemented correct management procedures to eliminate or minimise those hazards.

The children will be strictly supervised and will have a good understanding of boundaries and rules before we leave school. We would welcome parent help on the day. Please return the permission slip to the school office.
